Ty Segall – Mr Face (EP)
Mister Segall doesn’t even give us time to look forward to new releases, he just throws them out! Before Christmas he announced an upcoming EP, yesterday the title track was released and next week the 4 track EP will be out! Also being a real vinyl lovers’ collector piece, the first pressing is already sold out, a second one is expected mid february. Mr Face is going to be “the world’s first playable pair of 3D glasses” as he states, will be out next week on Brooklyn-based label Famous Class Records. The EP consists of 2 translucent vinyls, blue and red and comes with a pair of 3D glasses. The first single starts out with acoustic guitars, sounds very retro and reminisces The Who and The Beatles.
Swervedriver – I Wasn’t Born To Lose You
After The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Loop and Ride the next nineties shoegaze band is announcing a comeback – Swervedriver from Oxford! Not on stage, that happened already 2008 at Coachella, but now they are coming out with a new album called “I Wasn’t Born To Lose You”. It’s the bands first album since “99th Dream” in 1998. A first single “Deep Wound” was already released last year. The second single “Setting Sun” is out now. Its b-side “Days” is a Television cover and can be listened to here.
The album will be released on march 3rd on the label Cobraside US, the track list is the following.

Gang Of Four – What Happens Next
Gang Of Four announced they worked with The Kills’ singer Alison Mosshart whose voice will appear on several tracks. Gang Of Four also collaborated with german singer Herbert Grönemeyer and The Big Pink’s Robbie Furze. They will be touring the US in march. Out on 02/24
Björk – Vulnicura
As Björk announced earlier this day on her Facebook page in a hand-written note, the new album is called Vulnicura and will be released in march. It’s going to contain ” 6 songs written by Björk, 2 songs co-written with Arca, 1 with John Flynn” and will have ” string arrangements by Björk”. The “6 songs produced by Björk & Arca, 1 by Björk & Arca & the Haxan Cloak, 2 by Björk were “mixed by the Haxan Cloak, except 2 songs mixed by the Haxan Cloak and Chris Elms and
mastered by Mandy Parnell.”
